30. I understand the cynicism

but I get the impression everyone involved in the making of the movie is sincerely horrified by what happened last Friday. Bale's statement (and Nolan's for that matter) immediately following the massacre sounded pretty heartfelt and genuine.

Now of course, a tragedy and horror like what happened never helps the bottom line (and possibly put a bit of a damper on opening weekend numbers), and I'm pretty critical of large corporations and how they handle themselves, but so far WB has done a decent job in presenting itself after this tragedy. They've also donated to the victim's fund, which will hopefully help the uninsured victims and their medical expenses.
