The Luchese family had a construction company "luchese construction company" that they were using as a front for all their construction related rackets. Since trump was a big time developer in NYC in the 80's , its very likely he had to deal with these guys.
In fact, there were quite a few rumors in NYC about Trump and his relationship with the mafia during that time.

He did business with the Gambino family (castenallo was the head of the gambino family):
