But ultimately anti-government/anti-tax zealots mean this to push down state and local taxes. The elderly on low limited incomes do better in blue states currently, but also in danger would be many amenities that just tend to make blue cities/states nicer to live in, more things like free summer concerts, good public colleges, more and better parks, sidewalks, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
