I've been saying this for the past year. Should Trump manage to steal a second term, come 2024, he'd make sure Ivanka got the nomination to succeed him. And, as the potential "first woman president" and "first Jewish president," the reasoning goes, she'd have a good chance of grabbing a lot of votes from two reliably-Democratic voting blocs.

Obviously, this will all go for naught if Daddy's popularity keeps skidding along where it is today. But in the event of something like another 9/11, it isn't impossible to see Mad King Donald benefit from The Dubya Effect, wherein any president will get a yuge popularity boost if they can present themselves to a terrified nation as the one person who can save them.
