...out of the local mosque charging $5 for parking in their lot across from the German club during the Oktoberfest celebration.
It just doesn't get more American than that.

To be fair, wearing a local culture gown to a dinner is different than a prom elsewhere

The issue seems to be that minority cultures can appropriate but dominant cultures cannot.
