It's been suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper awkward ever since Trump was inaugurated, but especially so given his temper tantrums against Trudeau lately. I get a lot of questions at work, and they mainly boil down to "What the hell is wrong with your President?"
But Trudeau is right. I think most Canadians understand that eventually Trump will no longer be in office (sooner rather than later, hopefully...) and that Trump isn't representative of how Americans feel about Canada. The friendship is being strained right now, but I think it'll survive Trump and his bullshit.
