The only thing that's kept the trump organization afloat is russian mob/kremlin money. It's responsible, in one way or another, for most of the real estate transactions and the payoffs for his henchmen like cohen. So, in short, they are the trump organization's best customer. And, without it, the trump organization would dissolve. Hence, trump's obsequious behavior toward putin and russia. If he alienates them, there goes his money. Also, that's why he's never released his tax returns.
