35. Good points on the NBC missteps over the years

I agree that firing Jane Pauley was a HUGE mistake. Firing Ann Curry was another one that backfired tremendously. They gave way too much credence & power to Matt Lauer, who clearly didn't deserve it.

Dick Ebersole did a few good things for Saturday Night Live, despite being a complete asshole. Didn't he bring in Billy Crystal, Chris Guest, and Martin Short, and several others? Amid the many bad decisions Ebersole made, he allowed Al Franken's talent free rein and we finally got to see how good he really was. Even after Lorne Michaels came back to "save" the show, Ebersole continued as the exec in charge for several more years. I don't think it really hurt his career, whereas these days he'd just be fired immediately.

Lastly I agree that Megyn Kelly will probably write a book and parlay this into a new show on another network. She was definitely overpaid at NBC and Fox News doesn't have the budget for her any more. I really don't care, do U?
