the review sites (including Amazon) have been extremely helpful although in some cases early on, "fake" reviews were also littering those sites... which prompted things like "verified purchase" to at least establish that the reviewer was legit (and that includes an even later requirement for reviewers who received the item "free" or at a discount in exchange for a review, to identify such). Always something!
