5. Apparently that's what we honor in this society

A person who can hit a small white ball with a club and get it to fall in a hole with the fewest number of swings is given adulation, honors, incredible riches and lots of news time. The true heroes, who spend their lifetimes making real differences in peoples' lives, well they can get fired, receive no recognition, go to their graves dirt poor and never be recognized in any meaningful way.

Goes a long way to explaining why our society is in the situation it's in currently.
