So that members of Congress wouldn't be together, in session, when the damn thing comes out. They will be scattered across 50 states and unable to talk about confidential things except in secured phones or in SCIFS.

And they picked the day before Good Friday, when they hoped as many as media people as possible might be taking long weekends and the story might just blow over.
