But they had a "spring break" back in March (week of the 18th). In fact, they pretty much get a week "off" (back in their districts) every month except June this year because they will be off the whole month of August until after Labor Day.

And trust me, something as "juicy" as this - someone who is a "reporter" knows they are on "24/7" when there is a breaking news story. You may have some of your "well known" TV personalities off but the networks won't be shut down and they all want the "scoop". It is worth it to them in terms of Pulitizers and whatnot!

And if anything, that is why they pay staff. The staff (who most likely live in D.C.) will be the ones reviewing and summarizing.
