The Founding Fathers would not have taken the time or trouble to put impeachment in the Constitution if they thought that the president was above the law or that a president could run to court and dispense with it! Now we will see if the Constitution is a mere scrap of paper!

It's not only not illegal to impeach a president, it's solely controlled by the House.
