In reply to the discussion: Rolling Stones warn Trump not to use their songs - or face legal action [View all]Bengus81
(7,257 posts)31. ABKCO owns the publishing rights but BMI does the kind of license that Trump would buy...
But from what I've read for a long time is that even though they would get paid they have the choice to deny a certain person or venue from getting that blanket license and using Stones music. Would a group want a bunch of Trump NAZI's playing their music at some get together even if they paid for a license?
Even if Trump bought a license Stones still have the final say. I thought early on in 2016 he was playing something by Aerosmith and they made him stop using the song.

OP
It's a weird choice, anyway. You can't always get what you, so vote for the MAGAt King?

I've always found it strange that he uses the song "You Can't Always Get What You Want".

Well, he said he's "attracted" to "beautiful" and that he "can't wait" but...
Lock him up.

Presumably it's a jab at 'Democrats' and how they're 'always wanting free stuff' ...

Well, remember the Clinton campaign "Don't Stop Thinking about Tomorrow" and got sued.
