In reply to the discussion: First covid-19 death linked to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally reported in Minnesota [View all]ProfessorGAC
(64,827 posts)13. Ummm...
The man was in his 60s, had underlying conditions and was hospitalized in intensive care for several weeks
This event ended 17 days ago. He was in ICU for several weeks?
Even if he was there for 3 days at the start (Aug 7), he came home, incubation period, got sick on the 12th or 13th, went into ICU a day or 2 later. That's 19 days tops. That's not several weeks.
Either this is sloppy writing, or the guy was never actually there. Unless he transferred from an ICU in MN to one in Sturgis, then got transferred back. That is unlikely.
I'm going with sloppy writing.
