I might try that. I function on a debit card and that's really all I usually need. I bought a car for cash a few years ago that was a few times more than my cash ATM limit so I went to half the ATMs in the county seat for a couple days maxing out my cash limit. It was kind of fun.
I expected to be able to get one from Costco but was told at the store that I had to order it online. I don't care to buy things online for that amount of $$ so I try to find other routes. I was told, at the small store up in town, that he would take a hit if he sold me what I had ordered through him. As we were going through the order wizard, it showed that they are not offering some of their products anymore and mine was on the margin, a MacBook Pro, real simple with the next step up memory... and he said that they had restrictions making it a cost for him to sell it to me and that I had to go to a big box store which puts me back at Costco from whom I would have ordered if they had helped me.
It also seems that everything from demos of programs and option to get a hands on trial at at store is not an option. Every time I touched a demo I was talked into going somewhere else, even when I told them I was ready to buy the damned thing right now. Nobody has them in stock because they say it costs too much to have them.
SMH.
For smaller purchases I go get a gift card and use that online, it works for me.
