25. Social Studies always get that because people think it's all facts and not anything else

When you start probing for interpretation and analyzing data, if students don't come the same conclusion their parents come to, I get phone calls, emails, and principal complaints.

Same in the four countries other than US I've taught in. To be honest, I had more academic freedom in International IGCSE/A-Level and IB schools in China than here in "free thought" USA.
