In reply to the discussion: CDC says fully vaccinated Americans no longer need masks indoors or outdoors in most cases [View all]aggiesal
(8,910 posts)28. I'll agree with that ...
but there are no numbers to compare against.
There are numbers to compare against with 7-day trends in infections, hospitalizations & deaths.
Until those numbers fall below the 3/17/2020 numbers when we, in California, were asked to
shelter at home, I will not take off my mask.
The zipcode that I live in, has the 2nd highest covid cases in San Diego County.
The top 5 zipcodes are all around me. So I'm very aware of the numbers and I
believe this call is being made way too early.

Same here! I'm too old to take chances. And I don't want people thinking I'm a Republican/Karen.

Numbers are supposed to start plummeting in about a month, so I'll keep wearing mine until then. NT

If you are vaccinated the chance of you getting sick with or without the mask is about the same.

If the non-vaccinated get sick from Covid, my sympathy level is dropping fast.

We're nothing like India as we have vaccinated a significant portion of our population.
