educated- yada yada- after immigration rules changed some years ago. But given the prejudice, many ended up being small businessmen in the Cities and were not accepted into the mainstream jobs market. They directly competing with Black-owned businesses that had been there for years. This caused a great deal of tension. And the differing cultures played a role too.
