The only reason this theory is still alive is because an intermediate species between pangolins and people wasn't found. That doesn't mean their isn't one, or that humans are the intermediary species, the disease having simmered under the radar for months.

The facility was cited for security failures and the WHO was helping them address that when Dumdum decided to blow a fit over it.

The truth is that we don't know where it came from. We do know Wuhan was likely the first victim of it and they acted quickly to isolate it once enough of a cluster of cases appeared there.

Where it came from is a little less imoportant than what we're going to do about it.

It appears Republicans want to keep the disease and the conspiracy theory alive and feeding each other instead of making sure enough people are vaccinated against it to have it die out. They are the problem here, not a theoretical "oopsie" at a lab or a jump to an unknown species and then to us.
