Or their wealth will just insulate them from any negative effects of totalitarian government. Even dictators need money to keep those helping them be dictators happy. There are exceptions, but I’ve long believed that most ultra wealthy people actually have no guiding political principles and no concerns about who is in charge or the form of government. They just want to know that their money controls the person in charge and gives benefits to them to maintain their wealth and power no matter what happens to the rest of the country. The Koch Foundation is a good example. They just want no government and thus no taxes to support a government.
