succeed in fighting climate change, not at the level we need to to avert catastrophe.

A perpetual growth economy means no serious efforts to get to negative population growth, it is in fact anathema to the system.

But less people is EXACTLY what this world needs. Desperately.

If we don't do it ourselves, purposefully, the world (i.e. physics, chemistry, resource availability, drought, etc) is going to do it for us, and we're not going to like it one bit.
