As a sidenote - I have seen the media generally attempt to cover -
-NAACP Annual Conference (which is going on right now - but virtually)
-National Urban League Conference (which is at the end of the month and virtual), plus whenever they release their annual "State of Black America"
What prompts media attention (and hand-wringing) for at least the NAACP one, is whether a current sitting President "attends", and if so, what they might say. Because we have been doing "virtual" meetings/conferences, it seems the media has chosen to dismiss any meaningful coverage the past year.
