(110,913 posts)9. Miami-Dade has a pretty high vaccination rate (73.8%)
so somebody has been doing something right, probably because they got hit about the hardest during the winter spike. Likely a lot of the cases there are mild ones among the vaccinated plus some among the happy vacationers (Miami in summer, ugh, my Dad did that one).
The cases per 100,000 are well under 20 there, so you're not in terrible shape. It's not so for one of the counties in the panhandle, they're 99 case and climbing, with a 30+% vaccination rate. Funny how that works out, isn't it?

I am in farm country and the vaccine rate is low, but not as bad as the southern states.
