4. So much for any pretense that we as a society value the lives of our children.

Yes, we're all "worn out by months of conflict over masks..."

Imagine how worn out we'll be, most especially parents and teachers and the children themselves, by the rash of Covid related hospitalizations and funerals that are now almost certainly sure to come.

Imagine how worn out we'll be explaining to our children why it is they became so ill, or watched their friends and classmates become ill and even die, because we were too "worn out" to demand the necessary, obvious, and relatively easy measures that would have prevented their suffering.
