11. We live pretty much dead center in WA state about 20 miles from the border

elevation 2900 ft. Been keeping records of the weather at our place for the past 15 years. First year EVER that we have gotten into triple digits. Most years we've had a couple of days in the low 90s. This year we've had over a week of temps in the mid to upper 90s and that's before the coming heat event.

As far as precipitation goes, fuggedaboutit........total since the end of February less than 3 inches. Nothing for any animals to graze on and the ranchers are pulling their cattle off the upper elevations and taking them back down to feed them hay.

All dryland grains, legumes, and peas are going down the sh*tter. You think food prices have been rising up till now, take a look at your household budget and shift some extra money towards groceries cause you ain't seen nothin' yet.
