So far, people seem to be honoring your request to avoid pointificating about the issue of royalty in the UK, and I devoutly hope that continues.
Personally, I hate it when Americans start arguing about what the UK should do with its monarchy or whether it should have one. As far as I'm concerned, it's none of our damned business. And under the present circumstances, it would be downright be tacky.
EDITED TO ADD: Well, people not pontificating about the monarchy in this thread was nice while it lasted. *weary sigh*
