That type of thing seemed to mirror what happened with Adam Lanza with the Sandy Hook shooting, where he killed his mother on the way to do his own slaughter.

So this is one of the issues that is continually brought up where you have highly volatile and depressed people who are actually able to easily obtain weapons to "get their frustrations out of their system", and being able to use an "assault style weapon" just increases the number who become victims (vs doing it with a knife or machete or ax or even a revolver type gun).
