who will be standing by, probably at General Quarters, off the coast of Israel.

I was in that exact situation as a sailor on a tin can during the six day war in June of '67.

When at general quarters, watertight doors are closed and air flow is restricted. Not fun in the hot weather, and of course we had no clue how long we would be there.

I'm proud to say that every sailor on my ship was trained and ready for anything
