26. In some ways Israel is acting even worse.

In some ways Israel is acting even worse than the old racist regime of South Africa did. Every time Netanyahu allows another settler complex built on stolen Palestinian land, the people of Israel are given another shame they have to bear, and another crime they will eventually have to pay for. Add to that the Prime Minister's penchants for using cluster bombs and white phosphorus against civilians, not to mention jailing children for throwing rocks, and the differences become less than spacious. It makes a pretty ugly picture for the rest of the World to see. Israel used to be better than that.

Not all Israelis agree with their country's current policies either, not by a long shot.


However, this is a forum where we are not supposed to let our discussions become arguments about the Israel/Palestinian conflict, nor was that the original topic of this string. I think we had better knock it off.
