It does seem a bit of a stretch to think that one day after UN chemical weapons inspectors arrive in Damascus, the Assad regime is going to unleash chemical weapons attacks.

It would, however, dovetail nicely with rebel efforts to gain more international support for their cause.

That old question needs to be asked again: Cui bono? Who benefits?
