A better handle might be posturinglowinformationattentionseeker.

IEA (International Energy Agency) is a fossil/nuclear centric organization charged with ensuring energy supply for the advanced economies. They have traditionally produced lowball estimates on the progress and prospects of renewable energy sources. That trend is based on analysis weighted towards the past performance of the energy sources and reflects a conservative interpretation of the data.

IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency) was formed to look at the same issue from a different perspective. To wit, how can the shift to a new paradigm - renewable energy - best be measured and encouraged?

We've seen a lot of other highly credible sources take the same general position - the declining cost of renewables have changed the economic playing field and shifted the balance towards a market dominated by renewable energy sources.
