better opportunity to get progressive change done under Democratic control than republican

I know there are a good number who are upset that the ACA didn't include a public option or Medicare for all, but the fact is they didn't have the votes at the time, and they barely got the ACA passed

They have been trying to push universal health care through since Truman. In 1993 we all saw what happened with Hillary's healthcare plan.

That the ACA even happened is an amazing achievement, and it is the foot in the door, which the republicans are trying to close
