Glad to see some are rethinking this. Like so many well-meaning theories, some take them to extremes and destroy the intent and usefulness of the idea. Unless you are US American/Canadian/Western European (some other Europeans, too), white, male, cisgender, heterosexual, Christian, middle-aged, appropriately employed, housed, able-bodied, well, you get the point, then there is a change you have a category which could be considered disadvantaged, and that should be respected and acknowledged. The Oppression Olympics shouldn't exist, but it very much does and is very obvious to those who aren't allowed "to place". I hope some take a serious look at things which are supposed to make lives better, and ensure they are, as opposed to just focusing on certain groups or only on certain groups when politically advantageous.
