I think this editorial will become a document that future historians will cite, and that generations of high school students will read as a warning about the time American democracy teetered on the brink of collapse.

And the withering roses graphic!

This editorial will appear in the Sunday Review along with other assessments of specific depredations Trump has wrought, by individual writers.
