they're more Borg or Ferengi.

With the Borg; there is no individual thought, it's all tied to the collective in service to the Queen, as in the movie, although I imagine it could be a king just as well.

With the Ferengi; everything in their greed based culture is focused on self centered acquisition in the belief of a "he who dies with the most toys wins" kind of mentality.

Ultimately, I guess they're a hybrid with the worst traits of both.
