I think it should be pointed out that there is no "assault rifle" bullet. The ballistic round shown in the video is mainly used by hunters of small targets such as ground hogs to make sure they kill the animal (and not just wound it). It "explodes" on contact. Hunters of larger game such as deer use a bullet that mushrooms, increasing damage but also allowing deeper penetration. The military uses bullets that tumble on penetration, increasing damage but not disintegrating.

I mention this because if you want to be persuasive with reasonable gun owners, you have to be accurate in your discussion of the issues. The doctor here makes a very good point about what happens when multiple bullets strike a child, but loses credibility with knowledgeable people when he suggests that the Sandy Hook shooter used "assault rifle type bullets". The point is made far more effectively if it is factual.
