That would assume there is actually someone out there with enough intellect to organize and orchestrate a plan basically a conspiracy. Actually the Republican Party has become such a collection of howling ignorant demagogues it would be impossible to contain them so such as Representative King can occasionally utter extreme bigotry. The imagery he manages to create by the cantaloupe comment is equal with the old cartoons used by truly dangerous political despots and political movements. Representative King thought up (or used a process that passes for thought) to come up with a truly repulsive mental image. It would not be hard for a cartoonist to draw this vile image. As a matter of time and effort it would be interesting to know how long it took for Representative King to come up with this or is it a rare original thought? Every interview by the press from now on with Representative King should include a question about cantaloupes.
