I would be curious to see a regression scatterplot of years of experience versus salary. Further breaking that down by sex would be interesting to try and detect statistical significance for discrimination. I suspect that it will be statistically significant - perhaps that average is dragged down to such a low number because the majority are relatively fresh out of law school??!?? If so, then there is definitely statistical significance. Anybody with 1-3 years as an ADA should not have such a glaring $6K out of $79K discrepancy simply based on gender.
