Especially when "persecutors" suggest that we should not be forcing religious beliefs onto other religions with fewer followers. No doubt European Jews had similar issues with the Nazis not wanting to go along with them. But wait a minute -- the Jews were not in the majority, as put-upon U.S. Christians are. Oops, might this be a seriously botched analogy on the part of this State Senator?
