71. In every caucus state. First you have to spend hours caucusing at your

local precinct (which might be hours of driving if you live in a rural area). And then some people have to be chosen to go to the next level -- at their own expense -- to represent you. And they have to travel even further away.

And when you choose these people to be your delegate you can't really be sure they'll show up at the next level; and if they do, whether they'll be a "faithful delegate" or a "faithless" one.

The only way to be SURE your vote is counted is to volunteer to be that delegate who spends days at multiple meetings, caucusing for your candidate. Most people care about who they elect -- but not that much.

This is practically the definition of voter suppression: make sure most voters won't jump through all the necessary hoops for their votes to count.
