You couldn't vote by affidavit in WA without having a specific acceptable, very narrow, reason. So people like this couldn't' vote:

Parents who didn't want to drag their children along, or hire a babysitter.
People in rural areas who lived 2 or even 3 hours away from their county's caucus.
People who wanted a secret ballot because they didn't want their spouse or boss to know who they supported.
People who don't want to sit with a group of strangers to discuss political views.
People who had other priorities on Saturday.
Out of state college students.

Someone told me they should just sign the form and LIE and say they were disabled or had a religious obligation.

Nice. We're supposed to lie if we want to vote without going through a caucus.
