12. unfortunately it seems like something that humans re-learn over and over again

a behavior pattern repeated throughout history, on every continent, over and over again, a true sucker's game.
we're far too willing to, as the film says, "gamble with the rights of others," it seems to be part of our collective nature, and so far there have always been enough suckers ready to step up and play the game to keep the power mongers afloat.
but this time it's different. i can feel the table turning on the sucker game. this time the collective is resisting the tendency to be suckered by the would-be autocrat. this time we can learn. maybe this is the time we finally get it right. maybe.
