... it's easier since I'm part of the white majority/plurality. I might feel more threatened by it as a minority.

Some of the most racist (anti-black) people that I've met are other minorities, though. I don't even want to repeat some of the examples here. One of the more tame examples that I'll share is that a married couple from Sri Lanka became very upset when I said that all humans originated in Africa. They insisted that THEIR ancestors didn't come from there. I asked them several questions about it, wondering if their beliefs were based on religion/tradition or something (like Native Americans who also think their ancestors didn't come from elsewhere), but that wasn't the case. It was blatantly obvious that they just didn't want to be related to any Africans. They both told me that maybe I was related to them (I'm white), but they were NOT! It struck me as funny that they were both darker skinned than any of the African Americans who worked at that place.
