5. I remember a story years ago of a young man in the AF Academy

came down with leukemia and a bone marrow transplant was needed. The parents went to Korea from where he was adopted and asked for people to come forward as they needed a match. The Koreans were amazed that the child who was adopted was loved and taken care of!!! They thought he had just been adopted to be a servant. Actually a lot of Koreans came forward to be tested and they found a donor. I think that story changed the Koreans' view of kids being adopted by Americans. This was in the 80s I think.
