Granted, there are some who are just jerks - like Rand Paul and Jordan. But McCarthy has shown on more than one occasion that he does know better. TFG is out of office and not coming back no matter what bullying he tries. There is no provision or precedent that would ever allow it. So why is McCarthy - and he's not the only one - throwing what remains of his reputation under the bus to defend an out-of-office contrarian whose legal troubles are mounting by the day?? All I can think is that McCarthy is afraid he'll be under the bus with him, but he's throwing himself there anyway by these embarrassing and foolhardy decisions.
