10. That joke has been around at least 35 years. I first heard it

when I was working for the Part B Medicare carrier in the late 1970s / early 1980s. We thought it was hysterical because of the way the old couple was getting away with their affair and saving money too.

In the ORIGINAL version the provider was a psychologist not a sex therapist and they asked him to do this because they were having "marital problems".......

Also, Medicare cut the blazes out of any sort of mental health back then it was like 50% of the 80% coverage of the allowable charge, so there is no way a $50 office visit would bring back $43 - more like $7.50 which would be an even better deal for the old guy.

There are a lot of holes in the joke both in the old and new versions, but it is still DAMN funny.
