I got her to come in the other night during a rain/storm and now she will not let me get near her. She absolutely demands to be outside at night to patrol the property and keep any stray rabbit, armadillo or raccoon out of the garden.

My dog is a high mountain dog breed and so she seems happiest when it's really cold. When she went out the morning after the storm, she ran around the yard and barked at the snow. She seemed so delighted. My dog has claimed the 50' tall Spruce tree as her dog house and she also loves under the little storage building where one side is about 6' off the ground, so she has a nice entrance and it is totally dry.

So, my advice is you dog will come in when she thinks she should.
