Britbox is cheap, I think 6.99 a month, no ads. Tons of wonderful shows. I can also recommend Acorn TV which also has good British and Canadian shows. It's the only place to watch The Murdoch Mysteries - good mysteries with a bit of fun and women's lib (in Toronto between 1890 and 1910). Acorn TV is 4.99 if I remember correctly.
