my poor kitty had heart disease and heart lymphoma. the steroids could slow down the latter but trigger the former.

No other can had ever left the hospital after such a duo diagnosis. Pretty rare to even have them both actually, we are talking about a couple of dozen in the literature.

She came home for a good solid week of being her old self, but then the steroids triggered her, and it was time.

I don't think I have ever cried so hard about anything in my life.

I feel where you are at now.

My only advice is love on your kitty as much as you can...and when she passed I went crying and red eyed to the shelter and got a kitten.

It really helped with the grief and pain. It distracted me by giving me a new little one to care for and love.

I still miss Stormy, and see her ashes in a box every day, but my new cat brings me a lot of love and affection and a little annoyance lol just like Stormy did.
